Unique zebra crossing in Galicia
In Cangas de Morrazo, shortly Cangas, in the province of Pontevedra a more than 45 meters wide zebra crossing has been taken into use. Because it is located in a curve this crossover is surely something unique in Spain and the world.
Despite the fact that there are no registrations concerning the widest zebra crossings in the world, this model probably belongs to one of the largest on this planet.
This new phenomenon in traffic also ensures that this Spanish village in Galicia, which has 26,000 inhabitants and is 38 km2 in size, is put on the map.
Previously you could cross the largest Spanish zebra crossing in Madrid. Every day, on the Gran Vía that is the busiest road that runs through Spain's capital, more than 70,000 pedestrians use this crossover with black and white stripes.
